About theatrevolution
theatrevolution is a new production company striving to tear down psychological barriers between performers and audience members using the power of shared human experience. We embrace fear and vulnerability as necessary elements of creation and we commit ourselves to exploring the perpetual evolution of the human condition. “Mr. Marmalade” marks theatrevolution’s first Los Angeles area production and our first co-production with Lucid by Proxy. theatrevolution’s inaugural production was a staging of “Scaramouche Jones” by Justin Butcher at The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville in Oceano, CA.

Lucid by Proxy, a not-for-profit theater production company, is a small group of actors, writers and directors who create and produce original theater. Since 2000, they've produced and performed 16 world-premiere plays. They are regularly praised for their acting, writing, direction and originality, and have garnered numerous LA Times "Recommended Picks," Backstage West "Critic's Picks" and LAWeekly "Recommended Picks." In 2007 BSW called LbP one of Los Angeles's top actor-driven theater companies. "Mr. Marmalade" is their first co-production under the new Emerging Theater Program, in which LbP lends production support to new and emerging LA theater companies.
